IceFrog is known for keeping the map changes hidden then he surprises the DotA Fans on map release. But Today, IceFrog has released a teaser video of the changes in upcoming map Dota 6.65. In the video there is a dark big cloud (maybe a hero) killing Sniper & Viper by backstabbing them. The cloud looks so fast and damaging. Guess what it is :)

May be its a skill that makes the hero aim a unit, like charge but the skill only stops after kill the unit or may be after a few seconds. The smoke stopped coming out when ds and viper died.

ReplyDeleteIt is Murloc, NightCrawler his ultimate gets benefit from night time like Nightstalker. In the night murloc becomes permanently invisible and he can attack his enemies without breaking his invisibility and his ultimate also has backstabb. That's all..

ReplyDeleteit cant be a spell because in the sniper scene, there is a sange's effect affecting the sniper movement.... Hence, in the viper scenario, there is a lightning effect that comes out whether from mjolnir, maelstorm or the hero's skill... plus, if its a spell, the crypt wont be attacking the clouds...

ReplyDeletei dont think this hero is too imba, there are many ways to kill him. here are the following ways...
ReplyDelete-use gem/ward/dust
-buy a movement speed item(bot,cyclone/phase)
-stay close to the tower
-use an AOE hero to damage it, or ground targeted spells, look, it shows exactly where the hero is located amidst the clouds. you can stun it with lina's light strike array or earthshaker's fissure, you can even hook it with pudge's meat hook and kill it in the tower. or you can stun it with potm's arrow. or perhaps use gondar to track him?
-notice at the end of the video when it kills viper? the hero was still invisible after the clouds are gone, and notice, it didnt auto-attack the creeps. that means 1 of the skill is the cloud which enables to attack while invisible and the other must be the permanent invisibility. im sure of it. then this hero needs to up these 2 skills am i right? i dont know the other 2 skills but i think this hero is a late gamer, so you can bully him at early game, take kotl and huskar perhaps? in 1 lane?
but never underestimate, you can lose if the hero farms too much.

ReplyDeleteguys here are NOOBS! cant you see? its a hero suggested about a year ago on dota-allstars!!! however, if the skills are really that of the suggested nightcrawler a year ago, its way too imba... definitely a banned hero in -cm mode. the lightning stuff you see in the vid? thats MStorm... and nightcrawler is "DISFAR", an aquatic dude that escaped from lich king's army.
ReplyDeleteactually, you can see at this video that icefrog remade the hero, cos he doesnt lose invi while attacking, and that is not imba, cos u can see where he is, and put a ward, just hope that he took of the return damage :S

ReplyDeleteomfg people stop saying this hero will be OVP because icefrog isn't that stupid...ok? he will NEVER make an imba hero on dota maps...it's certainly a hero as you can see it has S&Y and mael working...and if you look close after he kills viper the senti creatures try to attack him...but he suddenly dissappears...maybe he has an incredible little fade time(yeah that could be a little OVP) but dust+wards solve it...and btw this could be a spell...something like yurnero's ulti or maybe even a combination of yurnero's ulti and morf's ulti...now stop saying this hero will be ovp gl&hf every1 have a nice day:)

ReplyDeletei think it will be balanced, probably it will have downsides... like the smoke.. u will know exactly where he is but u cant attack him right? but you can stun him... skills like fissure or hoof stomp? or any other aoa skills? maybe when you do that, he will show up for some seconds or the damage to him will be doubled.
another posibility... maybe its a clickable skill that can only be used in night time? maybe a 400 - 600 sec cooldown will do? and since it can only be used n night time and has a long cooldown... it cannot be detected by gem or wards? maybe 2 gems? or 2 wards will do... or 1 gem 1 ward? heheh.. dont know the duration.. maybe 10 - 15 sec?

ReplyDelete1st skill, : A blink type skill.
2nd skill, : A Permanent Invisibility skill at night, has fade time also.
3rd skill, : A Critical Strike type skill.
Ultimate : it's this, permanent invisibility at night, and even if he attacks, the invisibility will not fade, but can only use it at night.

ReplyDeleteThe cloud is just for cover so you wont see the real hero, when he kills viper and the cloud disappears thats when he is invisible. He slows down both viper and dwarven sniper, that's why I think he has a skill that damages target hero over time. And his ulti maybe the one increasing his damage . Nightcrawler is good combination of invisibility, amplify damage, and damage over time.

ReplyDeletei'd like to point out one small aspect that seems to have been overlooked in assessing this new hero or his abilities... when killing the viper the creeps turn and to attack it... if it stayed invis or was in any way undamagable by means of attack the sentinal creeps woulda just kept on walkin ;) just a lil point i figured i'd make
