The show is much more differen't then the Manga.. Because of Filler.. Naruto learning sage mode will be soon.. theres every episode is about 2 1/2 manga chapters.. if not more + animation and fillers.. so the show isn't very far behind the manga.. only about 50 episodes..

???? the anime its not 50 episodes far from the manga, its more like 100 because the fight between sasuke and itachi it's long and boring with flashbacks and all that, jiraya dies, then the training of naruto, the attack of the village, the capture of the eight tails, and sasuke's recruitment from akatsuki, and then you have the manga from now, plus when the anime gets to the history of the manga will be far 100 episodes again
